Energy Manager, Penn Medicine
Kat is currently the Energy Manager for Penn Medicine working at the University of the Hospital of Pennsylvania, Presbyterian Hospital and Pennsylvania Hospital. In her current role she is responsible for managing utilities, including utility contracts and budgets, as well as discovering and managing energy savings projects within the facilities. Kat has lead varying size energy savings projects at Penn Medicine from simple VFD and lighting replacements to large scale chiller plant optimization. As an active member of American Society of Healthcare Engineers Philadelphia chapter, Healthcare Facility Managers Association of Delaware Valley, Kat is active rolling out ASHE’s Energy to Care program within the Philadelphia area. She is also a member of the Association of Energy Engineers. Kat has worked for over 20 years in the energy field, mainly as a manager, energy engineer and measurement and verification engineer in the performance solutions industry for Energy Services Companies working within a variety of industries; Also she has worked as an Energy Manager for Sodexo and High Falls Brewing.
